The Hall of Revival

The exit from the re-creation of the bunker at 18 Mila St. leads to a gallery that links the military cemetery, in which the fallen of 1948 are buried, to the various events that occurred in Palestine between 1945 and 1948.

The process of revival began with the movement to flee Europe (the Bericha movement) and the illegal Jewish immigration to Mandate Palestine. It continued with the beginning of Jewish settlement in the Negev, the establishment of the 11 “points” of Jewish settlement in October 1946, and the laying of the first water pipe in the Negev. The gallery concludes with the declaration of the partition plan in November 1947, which ensured the establishment of the state of Israel.
